EU: Export and import licences as of March 2, 2010

The EU granted the following export licences from July 1, 2009 to March 2, 2010: wheat (excluding durum) 11.9 (year-ago period 14.4) mln t, durum 400,000 (991,000) t, barley 551,000 (3.0 mln) t, corn 755,000 (1.3 mln) t, rye 55,000 (62,000) t, and oats 122,000 (72,000) t. The total export licence volume thus reached 14.8 (21.0) mln t.
Import licences totalled 6.1 (8.4) mln t, thereof wheat 2.6 (4.6) mln t, durum 1.6 mln (644,000) t, barley 87,000 (219,000) t, corn 1.9 (2.7) mln t, and sorghum 4,000 (260,000) t.
