World: 2010/11 soybean acreage still expected down on year

Informa Economics projects 2010/11 soybean acreage still to reach 99.5 mln ha and thus to remain below the 101.3 mln ha of the previous year. In the USA 31.1 (30.9) mln ha are expected, in Brazil 21.5 (23.0) mln ha, in Argentina 18.0 (18.3) mln ha, and in China 8.8 (8.8) mln ha. The production forecast was also left unchanged at 252.9 (257.3) mln t.
