World: 2010 wheat production forecast revised up to 662.7 mln t

Informa Economics left its projection for global 2010 wheat acreage unchanged at 221.7 (previous year 225.8) mln ha, while production is now forecast higher at 662.7 (previous forecast 657.1; previous year 676.7) mln t, thereof in India at 82.0 (78.4; 80.6) mln t, while it is seen unchanged in the EU-27 at 142.5 (last year 138.2) mln t, in Russia at 56.0 (61.7) mln t, in Ukraine at 20.0 (20.9) mln t, in the USA at 54.8 (60.3) mln t, and in China at 110.5 (114.5) mln t.
