France: 2009/10 wheat, barley and corn exports

According to the government, France exported 7.6 mln t of wheat (excluding durum) in the first six months of marketing year 2009/10 (July/June) compared to 8.4 mln t in the same period of the previous season. 3.2 (3.3) mln t thereof went to other EU countries including to Italy 771,000 (746,000) t, to the Netherlands 719,000 (836,000) t, to Belgium 678,000 (672,000) t, to Portugal 349,000 (281,000) t, and to Spain 367,000 (451,000) t. 4.4 (5.1) mln t were exported to third countries.
Barley exports reached 2.2 (2.8) mln t, thereof those to other EU countries 2.0 (1.9) mln t and those to third countries 229,000 (884,000) t. Main destinations in the EU were Belgium with 646,000 (627,000) t, the Netherlands with 448,000 (484,000) t, Spain with 319,000 (81,000) t, Germany with 293,000 (392,000) t, Italy with 168,000 (151,000) t, and Portugal with 78,000 (49,000) t.
Corn exports amounted to 3.6 (3.0) mln t including 3.5 (2.8) mln t to other EU countries and 107,000 (231,000) t to third countries. Main destinations were Spain with 1.1 mln (949,000) t, the Netherlands with 779,000 (679,000) t, Portugal with 275,000 (162,000) t, the UK with 303,000 (217,000) t, Belgium with 271,000 (287,000) t, Germany with 269,000 (167,000) t and Ireland with 216,000 (133,000) t.
