France: Grain sales at 47.1 mln t as of Feb. 1, 2010

According to the government, French farmers sold 47.1 mln t of grain in the first seven months of marketing year 2009/10 (July/June). This is above the 44.7 mln t sold in the same period of the previous year. The figure includes 24.4 (23.3) mln t of wheat (excluding durum), 1.4 (1.4) mln t of durum, 9.2 (8.4) mln t of barley, 10.9 (10.6) mln t of corn, and 728,000 (614,000) t of triticale.
