Russia: 2010 sunseed crop up 9% on year

The US agricultural attaché revised up the production forecast for Russian sunseed for 2010/11 to 7.4 (previous forecast: 6.8, 2009/10: 6.4) mln t due to an upward revision of the harvested area to 6.0 (5.8, 5.6) mln ha. Domestic use is seen at 7.1 (6.8, 6.7) mln t.
