Russia: 2010/11 grain supply and demand

The US agricultural attaché revised down his estimate for the 2010 wheat harvest (including durum) in Russia to 57.5 mln t from the previous projection of 58.4 (2009/10: 61.7) mln t. Exports are seen unchanged at 18.0 (18.0, 17.5) mln t, domestic use at 43.5 (42.0, 42.0) mln t, and ending stocks down to 8.9 (12.2, 12.8) mln t.
Barley production is seen down to 15.8 (17.5, 17.9) mln t, exports to 1.8 (2.1, 2.3) mln t, domestic use to 15.3 (16.8, 17.1) mln t, leaving ending stocks unchanged at 0.9 (0.9, 2.2) mln t.
