Spain: 2010 wheat production forecast revised upward to 5.4 mln t

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, total wheat production in Spain is seen at 5.4 mln t, which is up from the previous forecast of 5.0 mln t and from last year’s 4.8 mln t. Wheat output (excluding durum) is revised up to 4.3 (4.0; 3.4) mln t and that of durum up to 1.1 (1.0; 1.3) mln t. Barley was revised downward to 1.3 (1.4; 1.1) mln t.
