USA: Biodiesel production in Jan. – May 2010 down 11% on year

According to the US Census Bureau, from January to May 2010 biodiesel production was 554,000, which is down from the 619,000 t seen in the same period of last year.
Usage for Oils & Fats for biodiesel production for Jan. - May 2010 was as follows: Soya oil 258,000 (241,000) t, tallow 92,000 (96,000) t, and others 204,000 (282,000) t.
