World: 2010 wheat production forecast slightly revised down to 670.8 mln t

Informa Economics revised down its forecast for 2010 world wheat production to 670.8 (previous forecast 671.2; previous year 679.9) mln t. Production is now seen lower in Canada at 18.8 (21.4; 26.5) mln t, in Russia at 55.0 (56.0; 61.7) mln t, and in the EU at 143.0 (145.1; 138.9) mln t, while the forecast is revised up for the USA to 60.3 (57.0; 60.3) mln t, for Ukraine to 20.0 (19.0; 20.9) mln t, and for China to 116.0 (113.0; 115.0) mln t.
