Malaysia: Palm oil exports 9% up on year in Jan.-June 2010

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board reports that Malaysia exported 8.2 mln t of palm oil in the first half year of 2010 which is 9% more than the 7.6 mln t exported in same period of last year. Main destinations were China with 2.1 (1.7) mln t, the EU with 1.0 mln (876,000) t, Pakistan with 934,000 (934,000) t, India with 567,000 (692,000) t, the USA with 517,000 (449,000) t, Egypt with 339,000 (323,000) t, and Japan with 288,000 (278,000) t.
