USA: 2010/11 corn production revised slightly down to 13,245 mln bu

The USDA now sees 2010/11 corn production in the USA at 13,245 (previous figures 13,370; previous year 13,110) mln bu. Domestic use is estimated at 11,400 (11,400; 11,200) mln bu including a use for ethanol production of 4,700 (4,700; 4,600) mln bu. The export forecast is slightly down to 1,950 (2,000; 1,950) mln bu as well as that for the ending stocks to 1,373 (1,573; 1,600) mln bu.
