World: 2010/11 wheat production forecast revised down to 661.1 mln t

In its third estimate for 2010/11, the USDA puts world wheat production now at 661.1 mln t compared to the previous forecast of 668.5 mln t and to the 680.0 mln t in 2009/10. The total includes 141.8 (143.0; 138.9) mln t in the EU, 60.3 (56.3; 60.3) mln t in the USA, 53.0 (57.5; 61.7) mln t in Russia, and 20.0 (20.0; 20.9) mln t in Ukraine.
Global exports are now estimated at 131.3 (131.4; 128.9) mln t including 27.2 (24.5; 24.1) mln t from the USA, 23.0 (22.0; 21.0) mln t from the EU, 8.0 (8.5; 7.5) mln t from Kazakhstan, 8.0 (7.5; 9.2) mln t from Ukraine, and 400,000 (400,000; 100,000) t from India.
Global use is seen basically unchanged at 667.0 (667.5; 652.2) mln t including a feed use of 121.8 (122.3; 118.7) mln t. Ending stocks are revised down to 187.1 (193.9; 192.9) mln t.
