Ukraine: 2010 wheat crop forecast revised down to 18.6 mln t

UkrAgroConsult now projects Ukraine’s 2010 wheat production at 18.6 mln t compared to the previous figure of 19.1 (previous year 20.8) mln t. This includes 17.8 (18.3; 20.0) mln t of winter wheat from a harvested acreage of 6.2 (6.1; 6.3) mln ha at a yield of 2.9 (3.0; 3.2) t/ha and 845,000 (810,000; 850,000) t of spring wheat from a harvested acreage of 310,000 (295,000; 310,000) ha at a yield of 2.7 (2.8; 2.7) t/ha.
