EU: 2010 barley production seen at 56.0 mln t

The US agricultural attaché projects the EU-27 to produce 56.0 mln t of barley in marketing year 2010/11 (July/June) after 61.3 mln t in the previous year. The harvested area is seen at 12.7 (13.9) mln ha. Exports are expected at 2.3 (1.0) mln t, domestic use at 57.5 (56.5) mln t including a feed use of 42.0 (41.5) mln t, and ending stocks at 11.3 (14.9) mln t.
