Russia: Beer production 10% down on year from Jan.-June 2010

According to ROSSTAT beer production in Russia amounted to 104 mln hl in June 2010 and was thus 6% below the 110 mln hl produced in June 2009. Russian beer production fell by 10% on year in the first half of 2010. Higher beer taxes are given as the main reason.
