UK: Poultry meat production 6% up on year in Jan.-June 2010

The DEFRA reports that poultry meat production in the UK increased by 6% in the first half of 2010 to 751,000 t from the 710,000 t produced in the same period of last year. Broiler meat production rose to 639,000 (596,000) t, that of turkey meat reached 73,000 (74,000) t.
