Ireland: Cattle slaughter 15% up on year in Jan.-June 2010

According to the Irish central statistics office, cattle slaughter in Ireland in Jan.-June 2010 increased to 842,000 head, which is an increase of 15% from the 734,000 head last year. Pig slaughter rose to 1.3 (1.2) mln head.
