Global use is projected at 829.9 (829.9; 817.1) mln t, thereof feed use at 483.0 (482.4; 478.4) mln t, industrial use at 224.1 (223.9; 215.3) mln t, and food and other use at 122.8 (123.6; 123.4) mln t. Trade is seen at 88.1 (88.4; 84.4) mln t. Ending stocks should reach 133.9 (136.8; 140.4) mln t.
Global barley production is expected lower now at 130.4 (137.3; 148.3) mln t. In the EU-27 54.2 (55.7; 61.8) mln t should be produced, in Ukraine 10.5 (11.4; 11.8) mln t, in Russia 12.0 (16.0; 17.9) mln t, and in Canada 7.8 (8.0; 9.5) mln t. Global use should amount to 139.4 (141.9; 143.7) mln t and trade to 16.4 (16.6; 16.9) mln t. This may lead to ending stocks of 29.2 (34.2; 38.3) mln t.
