France: Milk deliveries in Nov. 2008 - Feb. 2009 6% down on year

The French agriculture ministry (Agreste) reports that milk deliveries of French farmers declined by 6% to 7.6 mln t from November 2008 until February 2009 compared to the 8.1 mln t delivered in the year-ago period.
In the first 11 months of marketing year 2008/09 (April/March) a total of 20.5 mln t of milk were delivered which is 1% below the 20.7 mln t in the same period of the previous season.
