Mexico: Wheat imports in 2011/12 estimated at 4.1 mln t

According to the US agricultural attaché, Mexico’s wheat imports in marketing year 2011/12 (Jul./Jun.) are now estimated at 4.1 (previous estimate 4.0; previous year 3.5) mln t. This includes imports from the US of 3.4 (na; 2.8) mln t. Total use is estimated at 7.2 (7.0; 6.4) mln t, with ending stocks expected to reach 485,000 (465,000; 435,000) t.
