The core task and most important part of the shipping department still today is to support our own trading activities. The branch offices in the various deepsea, coast, and inland waterway offices in Europe, South America, and Asia provide our competent team the possibility of offering competitive freight agreements, thus procuring trading opportunities for the company which will subsequently prove advantageous for our business partners as well as the end consumers.

Our own trading activities enable us to offer shipping space to third parties so that our freight and time charter management are optimized in combination with our own cargoes. We can further optimize our cargo by also appearing as a provider for shipping coal, cement, ores, and other products.

In the past years, freight agreements have developed into a product with high volatility, which makes accurate market monitoring and risk awareness necessary. We set up a time chartered fleet to consistently support our own trading activities in the agricultural product and wet cargo sector. Our shipping space can be efficiently utilized for our own or third party freight chartering, depending on the market situation, or time-chartered to third parties. Our primary goal is to provide sufficient Handysize and Panamax shipping space to be able to cover our own transportation needs.
