USA: Cattle inventories as of July 1, 2010 down on year

According to the USDA, cattle inventories stood at 100.8 mln head as of July 1, 2010 and were below the 102.0 mln head counted one year earlier. The number of dairy cows was also down, standing at 9.1 (9.2) mln head.
