USA: Cattle on feed numbers as of July 1, 2010

The USDA reports that cattle on feed numbers stood at 10.1 mln head as of July 1, 2010 and were thus below the 10.5 mln head one month earlier, but above the 9.8 mln head one year earlier. In June 2010, the number of cattle placed on feed reached 1.6 (previous year 1.4) mln head and marketings 2.0 (2.0) mln head.
