Exports are forecast at 2.2 (previous forecast: 2.2; 2007/08: 5.5) mln t, thereof those to the EU at 800,000 (1.0 mln; 1.0 mln) t, Domestic use is forecast at 1.6 (1.6; 1.5) mln t, including a crush of 1.5 (1.5; 1.4) mln t, and ending stocks at 25,000 (25,000; 27,000) t.
Sunseed production is revised down to 280,000 (310,000; 183,000) t on a harvested acreage of 190,000 (200,000; 109,000) ha. Exports should reach 135,000 (195,000; 62,000) t, domestic use 135,000 (143,000; 130,000) t including a crush of 130,000 (140,000; 125,000) t, and ending stocks 40,000 (26,000; 25,000) t.
